Hello and welcome back to my blog! I’m currently in the process of bringing everything over from my Blogger book blog. I’m trying to not burn myself out by bringing over old posts so I’m making a new one! I was trying to think of something I could do and for some reason, I came up blank! UNTIL. I remembered that book tags were a thing and that I have a whole bunch of them bookmarked.
I don’t know who made this tag. I found it thanks to Rebecca! If you know who made this tag, please let me know so I can give them the proper credit 🙂
Let me know if there are any books on this list that I need to pick up ASAP!
Tagging: Nikki, Tracy, Em, Tiffany, Haadiya,

A book that you feel like you need to read because everyone talks about it.
I have heard nothing but amazing things about The Astonishing Color Of After. I finally purchased this book when I found an amazing deal. I feel like this is going to be a book that makes me cry and I’m not sure if I’m ready for it!

A book that’s really long.
Honestly, this book isn’t that long. According to Goodreads, it’s 752 pages. I feel like that might just be because of the edition I have. BUT. It is a chunker and I’m scared to pick it up because of that.

A book you’ve owned/had on your tbr for too long.
To be fair, I bought this book because of it’s cover. I didn’t find out what it’s actually about until like a year after buying it. It is a problematic book. I don’t have issues with problematic books, for the most part. I’m just currently waiting on my app to pick this book for me to read and I’ll let you guys know my thoughts about it…

A book that is “required” reading.
I’m not gonna lie, I think the only book I own that is “required” reading is Pride and Prejudice. I don’t necessarily like classics… at all. I will never buy them. This was given to me from one of Julian’s bosses and I didn’t have the guts to tell them I didn’t want it because anxiety.

A book that intimidates you.
This isn’t a long book and that’s obviously not the reason why this book intimidates me. I have just never read a science fiction book. I have never read a book that takes place somewhere other than Earth. I’m excited to see what this book will bring to the table!

A book that you think you might be slow.
I honestly could not begin to tell you what this book is about. I feel like it’s going to be a slow book. I haven’t seen anyone talk about this book so I’m really hoping I’m wrong!

A book that you need to be in the right mood for.
As much as I love reading Adult Fantasy, I have to be in the mood for it. Or else I’ll get bored and I’ll end up dnf’ing that book. Since finding my love for romance novels and fantasy romance, adult romance hasn’t been high up on my tbr.

A book you’re unsure if you will like.
A lot of people got excited about this book. Unfortunately, once people started reading it… they didn’t like it. I haven’t read any full reviews about this book because I’m terrified of getting spoiled for anything. I just didn’t see great things 🙁

From this list I’ve only read Pride and Prejudice; took me awhile to get to it just because I’m not a “read classic books” kind of person. I really enjoyed the book, the language takes a bit to get used to but the story moves fast in my opinion which I really liked – I hope you get to read it someday 🙂
